My precious little baby!

Oh My little Elijah! My how you've grown! I am going to fill everyone in from the time you were born till now (we are playing catch up) You were such a beautiful baby from the moment you were born. In fact, everyone kept talking about it! I was so overwhelmed with many emotions when the nurse layed you in my arms. You hardly cried at all! You went poo poo for the first time when you were 2 days old. I was in the hospital for 2 1/2 days and had a pretty decent recovery. You and I had some trouble breastfeeding at the start and we cried together over this on many different occasions! After about 3 weeks you had it down pat and were nursing like a pro! Now you LOVE your mommy milk. My 2 months maternity leave went by much too fast and was filled with all kinds of amazing discoveries about you. You're umbical cord stump fell off when you were a little over 2 weeks old and around that same time your circumcision was healed so you had your very first full bath! Prior to this you had only sponge baths which you hated! Now you love bath time. You had your days and nights mixed up for about a week. You were waking every 3 hours to nurse so Mommy was pretty tired! At about 2 weeks you could hold your head up when laying on your belly for a breif moment. At 4 weeks old you were already practicing bearing weight on your legs. You were such an alert baby and Oh so curious! At about 8 weeks you were sleeping through the night! This is when I went back to work also. I hated to leave you during the day and long to be home snuggling with you. Your first real smile was around 1 month old and it melted my heart. You laughed for the first time at about 4 months old. Daddy and I Love to hear you laugh! You LOVE having your diaper changed and think it is so funny. You rolled over from your tummy to your back at 4 1/2 months old and from back to tummy at 5 months old. You had rice cereal for the very first time at about 5 months old. I began mixing some bananas in it and that was your very first fruit! Your first vegetable was sweet potatos. Now you eat peas,carrots, sweet potaoes, bananas and oatmeal! You love to eat and always grab the spoon from me. You're a spunky little thing with a big personality. You are now almost 6 months old and I have no idea where the time went?? You love to jump in your Baby Einstein Jumperoo and to laugh at the silly things Daddy and I do. You just had your first ear infection and have been a little trooper with it! You weigh 17 lbs. 5 oz, you have gained almost 2 lbs since your 4 month check up where you weighed 15 lbs 9 oz!! I Love you with all of my heart!

Elijah is here!!

Mommy and Daddy have waited 9..or really 10 long months for you! Guess what? You are upside down so mommy has to have a C-section to get you out! We had to be at the hosital at 8:45 am! Mommy and Daddy are so nervous but cant wait to meet you!
